You might have seen all these in some part of your daily life. And how does it make you feel? I think 'happy' is not the answer.
Technology has come many far in the last few centuries. The technological evolution is still far stretched and it is growing rapidly. It has impacted our culture, society and moreover our behaviours.
The advance in technology is measured by time & agility being one of its
many factors.
FYI,
On July 3, 1886, Karl Benz drove the first automobile, reaching a top speed of
16 km/h (10 mph).
And, what we saw last month was Virgin Hyperloop successfully testing travel
speed of 100 mph on humans.
Yes! we have come this far.
What has come much far is the digital space. The internet.
LANs typically operated at 10 Mbit/s, while modem data-rates grew from 1200 bit/s in the early 1980s, to 56 kbit/s by the late 1990s - Wikipedia
As of the measured period (August 2020), the average download speed globally for mobile internet was 34.82 Mbps, while average mobile upload speed were recorded at 10.99 Mbps. - Statista
Countries like Singapore has an average speed of 218.07Mbps.
The increase in internet speed and data processing has essentially impacted growth in technology. In the course of evolution, I guess this is a time when human evolution has come this close and tied up with technology.
Well, it had it's pitfalls too.
But there was a time before this. When a piece of news from one side of the country will only be reaching a day or week after. Lovers will have to wait a day or two to get replies from their loved ones. Nowadays, people can't stand a two-second
late reply.
Data transfer has affected our spontaneity or impulsiveness.
Did these affect our behaviour severely?
A study conducted by some
Chinese researchers have concluded
that the internet has made us angrier.
The study was conducted on the users of Weibo a Twitter-like app in China with over 500 million users. It concluded
that angry emotion could spread more quickly and broadly in the network.

With recent controversies in the Twitterverse also, we can easily affirm this research. People are angry all over the internet and where does that lead us?
