Before reading this I would want you to just go to YouTube and search for something.
Type " Funny Actor" & "Funny Actress" and see what result you get.
I know you are a lazy ass, so, here is what I found. Well, you can validate it with your results in your local search queries.

Out of curiosity, I was just searching there for these and I observed something that needs attention.
Like when we think of a comedian, what we think of is a male actor. The thing is many people don't even know there is a feminine version of the word.
"Comedienne" is the word you are looking for.
So, coming back to the results I have shown above, have you seen the difference in results? Well, I think it reflects what society thinks about women and men being funny. Women are being bullied here as we can see.
People think comedy is a man's forte.
But, no!
I know women who are funny. But, women being funny is typically not well taken by the society. Women are stereotyped to be not funny. And why is that?
If you just watch TV shows and films, you can just notice female actors who took comedy roles are comparatively less in here. And even if they do, will they get enough fame as the male actors?
I have seen some trends where people's thoughts are getting changed. Even though, generally, there is this perception that doing comedic roles (for women and men) is not good for his/her career. That you will be typecasted to comedic roles and I guess many are afraid of that too. In such a scenario, why would women prefer comedic roles, right?
But, in the film industry, there are many women who did that and are really known for their comedic roles. I guess it is just that they are less. There are also less successful movies with women-centric comedic roles or hardly any in Bollywood. I guess people here are afraid to take up such movies. I guess doing a comedic role is not as easy as it is with other roles. Maybe they don't want to take risks!
However, there are women in supporting roles who did comedy. Actresses
like Upasana Singh (in Bollywood), Kovai Sarala (in Kollywood),
KPAC Lalitha or Sukumari (in Mollywood). I am sorry if I missed any (from other languages). The thing is, they were all overshadowed by the male roles.

Well, there are many
women-centric movies
recently popped up in the theatre and in OTT platforms like Netflix or
Amazon. Movies like Kahaani, No One Killed Jessica, Parched, Neerja, Dear
Zindagi, Queen showed us some pretty badass women. But, where they stand when it comes to purely comedic roles?
However, when it comes to Hollywood, I guess there are many lead actresses
who easily take up those roles and made us ROFL.
Some of my favourites are Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz, Anna Faris, Courtney
Cox, Alyson Hannigan, Kaley Cuoco and the list goes on.

I have also enjoyed women who do standup comedies and YouTubers like Lilly
Singh aka SuperWomen who can handle comedy well.
Not to forget the one's behind the screen. Also, there are also many admins
of meme pages who are women.
I had recently come across an Instagrammer named Elsa Majimbo. I cannot say
how much I have laughed.
Another one of my favourites is an Instagrammer named Sharvani Civiyadhen.
What she does is basically react to the (absurd) comments on her profile. It is really amazing to see how she has made it to work out in a comedic way to react to those comments. We know how messed up cyberbullying can be for you.
I have noticed men reacting to their posts like women can't be funny as a
man. I mean WTF
But, still why women aren't considered to be funny by this society.
I read this article published in Psychology Today. It states that intelligence predicts humour ability and humour predicts mating success. Men specifically are observed funny. Being witty is often aligned with attractiveness. And men use their witty skills to attract women. (Ahem)
Well, we have all seen that heroin, who flirts while saying "You are so
funny" and it kind of pumps the hero's esteem.
This article "Why do people believe women aren’t funny?" by Guardian states different reasons. One that includes, the anatomical
differences between men and women.
The fact that male genitals are considered (somehow) funnier. I came to know that there's even a website for it. The puppetry site. LOL
Anyhow, I was relieved that there is an award given for funny women. Kudos
to the funny women team.
